Chrysler de Mexico Reports Sales of 6,515 Units in June 2014

  • Jeep® brand continues its sales success with a gain of more than 2 percent versus June 2013
  • Dodge Charger sets new sales records: best June sales since its launch and best sales month since 2009
  • Dodge Challenger sales improved 8 percent versus the same time period in 2013 for best June sales ever
  • Ram 4000 sales improved 127 percent compared to the same month in 2013 for best sales month of the year
  • Fiat Uno sales were up 135 percent compared to June 2013
Mexico City June 30, 2014 - Chrysler de Mexico announced today sales of 6,515 units for the month of June 2014.
 
“Jeep brand continues its positive sales path due to new product launches, which are receiving great acceptance. The Jeep brand offers the best off-road capability without compromising performance,” said Bruno Cattori, President & CEO of Chrysler de Mexico. “Next month, our all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 will arrive in dealerships. This new vehicle exterior design features the new “face” of the Chrysler brand. It is the first mid-size sedan with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission and it offers more safety features than any one in its segment." 
 
Chrysler Brand 
Chrysler brand sales totaled 243 units. Last month, Chrysler Town & Country registered sales of 223 units. Chrysler Group’s ultimate family vehicle ranked highest in initial quality among minivans for the third time in four years in the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Initial Quality Study in June.
 
Jeep Brand
For the month, 1,781 Jeep brand vehicles were sold. Jeep Patriot sales increased 2 percent versus June 2013. The Jeep Cherokee continues its strong momentum, posting sales of 408 units. Jeep Grand Cherokee achieved sales of 360 units. Jeep Wrangler was recognized as 2014 Best Retained® Value by Edmunds.com in the Compact SUV segment; Jeep Wrangler Unlimited led its segment in the Strategic Vision Total Quality Index™.
 
Dodge Brand
The Dodge brand became the volume leader for the company by posting sales of 2,316 units. Dodge Journey significantly contributed to the Dodge brand sales with 795 units sold during June 2014. Dodge Charger logged sales of 685 units, setting a new sales record: best June since its launch and best sales month since 2009. Dodge Challenger sales grew 8 percent in June 2014 versus June 2013, making it the best June in its history. This vehicle won Edmunds.com 2014 Best Retained® Value Award in the mid-size/large coupé segment. Last month, Dodge Dart, Dodge Charger and Dodge Durango were on top in the Strategic Vision Total Quality Index™.
 
Ram Truck Brand
Ram brand sales of 977 units were supported primarily by sales of Ram 4000, which registered a 127 percent sales increase for its best sales month of 2014. Last month, Ram products were honored. Ram ProMaster earned 2014 Best Retained® Value Award by Edmunds.com in the commercial van segment and Ram 2500/3500 led its segment in the Strategic Vision Total Quality Index™.

FIAT and Alfa Romeo Brand 
The FIAT and Alfa Romeo brands posted sales of 484 units. The Fiat 500 recorded sales of 290 units. Fiat Uno reached sales of 108 units, an increase of 135 percent.
