October 18, 2019 The FCA Sterling Heights Assembly Plant has been awarded bronze status for its efforts in implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM), the Company’s manufacturing methodology. It becomes the 24th North American facility to reach the milestone award.
October 2, 2019 As steel continues to be raised for FCA’s new assembly plant under construction on the east side of Detroit, the first piece of process equipment for the paint shop began arriving on site on Oct. 1, 2019.
September 24, 2019 FCA is extending the application window for the more than 11,000 pre-qualified Detroiters who want to work at the Company’s new assembly plant being built on the city’s eastside. The deadline for applications is now Sept. 29. The extension applies to Detroiters who have already completed the Detroit at Work Job Readiness activities held at over 300 events around the city since June.
August 13, 2019 FCA marked a milestone today as it raised the first piece of steel for the nearly 800,000-square-foot paint shop being built on the site of the former Mack Avenue Engine Complex. The Company announced in February that it would invest $1.6 billion to convert the two existing facilities into a new assembly site for an all-new, three-row, full-size Jeep® SUV and the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, creating 3,850 new jobs.

March 1, 2019 The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Etobicoke Casting Plant has been awarded bronze status for its efforts in implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM). It becomes the 23rd North American facility to reach the milestone award level and the first plant to be awarded in 2019.
February 26, 2019 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. confirmed today plans to invest a total of $4.5 billion in five of its existing Michigan plants, and to work with the city of Detroit and state of Michigan on building a new assembly plant within city limits. The move would increase capacity to meet growing demand for its Jeep® and Ram brands, including production of two new Jeep-branded white space products, as well as electrified models. The proposed projects would create nearly 6,500 new jobs.
February 13, 2019 The 10-millionth Pentastar engine was produced here today at FCA US LLC’s Trenton Engine Complex. Introduced as a 3.6-liter V-6 in 2010, the Pentastar engine family has accounted for six placings among the prestigious annual list of Wards 10 Best Engines and currently comprises six fuel-saving variations that feature technologies from Variable Valve Lift (VVL) to hybridization.
January 7, 2019 FCA US LLC installs intelligent lighting systems in more than half of its manufacturing facilities, two Mopar Parts Distribution Centers and 87 dealerships, including two metro Detroit operations, Jefferson North Assembly Plant and Warren Stamping Plant, helping drive down energy costs by at least 50 percent and improving employee productivity by making the spaces responsive to the needs at each workspace.

August 16, 2018 FCA US announced today that it has awarded the production of the Power Electronics module for the Jeep® Wrangler PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) to its Toledo Machining Plant, positioning the 54-year-old Ohio facility to play a key role in helping the Company meet future regulatory requirements.
July 17, 2018 The FCA US Tipton Transmission Plant becomes the latest plant to be designated silver in the Company’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology. Recognized for its efforts in expanding the implementation of WCM principles, the Indiana facility is the Company’s 10th North American manufacturing location overall and fifth plant since January to achieve the milestone award.
June 25, 2018 Two FCA US facilities have joined the ranks of silver designated plants in the Company’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology. Toledo (Ohio) Machining and Sterling Stamping (Sterling Heights, Michigan) were recognized for their efforts in expanding the implementation of WCM principles, becoming the eighth and ninth plants, respectively, to reach this milestone.
June 20, 2018 The FCA US Belvidere Assembly Plant welcomed the Jeep® Cherokee to its new production home on June 1, 2017. The decision to invest $350 million to retool the facility was made as part of the Company’s broader industrialization plan created to respond to the market’s shift away from small cars and to realign its U.S. manufacturing operations to fully utilize available capacity to expand the Jeep and Ram brands.
June 6, 2018 FCA’s Windsor Assembly Plant has won a Canadian Industry Partnership for Energy Conservation Leadership Award. The recognition comes for key Process and Technology Improvements from a plant initiative that resulted in an approximate 30 per cent annual energy savings of existing chilled water system and reduced Greenhouse Gas emissions equivalent to almost 21 homes’ energy use per annum.
May 30, 2018 The last 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, assembled at the FCA US Brampton Assembly Plant (Ontario, Canada), rolled off the line today in the first step toward making horsepower history at the June 20-23 Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction. The limited-production, world record-setting 2018 Demon and the last 2017 Dodge Viper hand-built American supercar will be auctioned as a pair in “The Ultimate Last Chance” end-of-an-era offer.

March 21, 2018 FCA US LLC will honor the legacy of the Dodge Viper as part of two initiatives announced today. First, the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant, the former production home of the iconic Dodge Viper, will get a second life as an internal meeting and display space that will showcase the Company’s concept and historic vehicle collection. Second, the Company is kicking off an auction of Viper memorabilia to benefit the United Way of Southeastern Michigan.
